Biography
 

Casey Hutchinson (soprano), has performed with Chelsea Opera, Opera Company of Brooklyn, New York Lyric Opera Theater and Opera Oggi.  She has won critical acclaim for her stage performances and was recently heralded by Opera News Online as “The standout…” in the Underworld Opera production of Cosi fan tutte.  Her performance as Despina was described as being “sung with a bright, silvery soprano and just the right amount of sass ...”  Other roles include Barbarina and Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro), Amour (Rameau’s Pygmalion), Suor Genovieffa and Suor Dolcina (Sour Angelica), Lucy (The Telephone), and Violetta (La Traviata).  On the concert stage, Ms. Hutchinson has performed with the Handel Choir of Baltimore as soloist in Faure’s Requiem and L. Boulanger’s Pie Jesu. The New York Times review of the Women Extraordinaire concert hosted by Chelsea Opera stated, “The highlight was a performance of the “Flower Duet” from Delibes’s “Lakmé” by Casey Hutchinson and Kirsten Allegri”.  Ms. Hutchinson is a graduate of Indiana University and New England Conservatory.
